Being R&D Company, Thermion participates in many scientific projects. Improvements in theory and technology of thermoelectrics have been the subjects for intensive research while developing Thermion’s products. The main achievements in the field of theory relate to the optimization of coolers with an arbitrary number of stages with consideration of the temperature dependence of the thermoelectric properties of semiconductors in a wide temperature range. Another important result is development of the method of the cascade TEC optimal integration into electronic housing taking into account thermal properties of all components – a cooled object, a TEC, an electronic housing and a heat sink. Considerable theoretical and technological potential, presence of skilled specialists and possession of sufficient computer programs give our company an advantage to work at high scientific level. This enables us to create coolers and systems that are more efficient than similar products on the market. Results of theoretical and experimental researches are presented in many International Conferences on thermoelecterics and published in scientific journals and books. Total, more than 120 publication, one monograph and two chapters in Thermoelectrics Handbooks published by CRC Press in 2006 and 2012.
